Eligibility
The Sigma Rho Zeta High School Scholarship is available to any minority graduating high school senior in Wake County with a GPA of at least a 3.0 (unweighted).
The graduating senior must be enrolled at chosen college/university for the Fall semester of 2025.
The graduating senior is still eligible if they are considered a "mid-year" graduate.
Provisions
The Sigma Rho Zeta High School Scholarship is a one-time award payment of $1,500 which will be awarded for full-time study for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Proof of enrollment/university acceptance must be received before disbursement of scholarship funds.
Scholarship funds will be remitted to the Financial Aid office of the designated college/university to be applied toward tuition and/or appropriate fees.
Deadline
The application window will open on December 1, 2024.
Applications must be received no later than 11:59 PM on February 28, 2025. The recipient will be chosen and notified in writing by April 25, 2025.
As part of the application process, you will receive a link to provide your references to complete the recommendation portion of the application. Letters of recommendation must be submitted using the link provided no later than the application deadline of 11:59 PM on February 28, 2025.
