History

During the summer of 2001, a group of members began discussing a noticeable void in a nearby thriving community where there was no Zeta presence. These women were actively involved in a local graduate chapter but were beckoned by the call to integrate Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated into the diverse communities that compile the Cary, NC area.

After several months of thorough research and vigorous planning, ten esteemed women embarked upon the challenge of chartering a Zeta chapter that would predominately serve these communities.

On June 1, 2002, the tangible results of our diligent efforts were born into reality in the living room of one of its members. Thus, the Sigma Rho Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. was officially chartered by the NC State Director, Eastern Regional Director, and NC Area II coordinator.

Vision

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Rho Zeta Chapter, strives to be a dynamic, welcoming body that embraces the principles of scholarship, service, sisterhood, and finer womanhood; fostering growth and maintaining a vibrant presence in the Cary community.

Mission

We will constantly strive to implement the principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. In the Sorority’s tradition of blazing new paths, we will model excellence by exceeding our commitments to the Sorority and the Cary community through energetic, innovative, and collaborative ideas and events.
